Hello beauties,
So I don't know if I'm the only one who is a freak about making sure there are no traces of dirts or makeup left on the skin, uhmmm is it just me? I have the facial cleansing system from Olay which does a really good job and since I got it I've never tried to get something else since it works fine. I have read and heard a lot about the Konjac sponges but didn't want to pay so much money for a sponge.
Anyway I have seen these sponges/puffs around a lot like almost everywhere but I've never thought of getting any until I came across this black one.. says it's an Active Carbon Facial Sponge, I was like hmmmm looks interesting.... The sponge is black, flat and slightly porous obviously.. it is also thick but doesn't feel too heavy.
How I Use:
-First rinse puff with warm water, placing the puff in between both palms, gently press out the excess water (do not wrinkle and squeeze).
-Wet face and apply preferred cleanser to face, then I massage the face with the puff using circular motions, I always love to double cleanse so I do this twice.
-Rinse face and sponge with warm water and press in between palms.
Results:
I noticed that this sponge helps cleanse the skin and pores well, it is not harsh to the skin at all, something else I noticed is that it leaves the skin slightly dry especially after cleansing the second time.
Maintenance
After washing/rinsing lay in between palms and press out excess water, hang it to dry in a cool place/close to the window or pop in the fridge. Do not leave in the bathroom as it is believed that bacteria could grow in them. Change every 2-3 months.
I'm not sure if this helped in reducing break outs etc.. but it does cleans well and I've been using it daily, there are a lot of similar sponges out there I'll try those as well.

I have seen similar at the body shop, Sephora and other stores, I got this at AEON big for less than RM10. Have you tried any similar sponge/puff? How do you cleanse your skin?! Have a fabulous day and stay gorgeous!

Oh this looks great! I am a HUGE fan of sponges! Used at least 6 Konjac type sponges in the last two years and I also used to use those silicone facial scrubbers that's like a pad covered in little bumps! The silicone scrubbers I used to love sold at diaso but have been out of stock for a while! I currently use a konjac sponge and love it, I really love how clean my skin feels afterwards, absolutely no more residual of make u left!
ReplyDeleteI always see those silicone scrubbers.. maybe I'll give one a try... now I think I'll get the Konjac sponge looks like u r recommending it haha! :)
DeleteI have heard so many good thing about this Konjac Sponge so it is lovely to read a review from a fellow Naija babe. I may actually invest in this as it is inexpensive with many good benefits. Thanks for sharing...xx
